Twenty years ago the desert got hold of me and never let go. Desert General is my love letter to Twentynine Palms - a little Parisian flair dropped into Tin Town 29, full of the things I'd want to bring home myself.
We're a bookstore at heart, too. We host monthly author readings and put on the Twentynine Palms Book Festival, each November. Come fo a hat, stay for the books, leave with a story.

Books are at the heart of what we do — from running our bookstore to hosting literary gatherings , and sponsoring the TWENTYNINE PALMS BOOK FESTIVAL.
The festival brings together authors from near and far for readings, conversations, book signings, and three day devoted to the simple pleasure of sharing good books.
