In addition to its public programming, Desert General also designs and produces tailored cultural events for small groups. These include book and product launches, private conversations and previews, press events, and writers’ and screenwriters’ retreats developed in close collaboration with authors, publishers, producers, and creative partners. Drawing on the region’s unique landscapes, intimate venues, and proximity to the Palm Springs International Airport, these custom formats offer focused time for creative exchange, strategic thinking, and story development—while giving participants access to the distinctive atmosphere and cultural history of Twentynine Palms.
