• More and more Angelenos drive to the area for weekends. Demand for short-term rentals surged by 54 percent between 2019 and 2021, making the Joshua Tree area one of the top two fastest-growing markets in California and one of the top 25 fastest-growing markets in the United States, 

  • The Palm Springs crowd is pretty different than the High Desert one (more luxury-oriented.) However, due to the opening of trendy restauraurants and stores in the High Desert, people from Palm Spring are more and more showing up.

  • Many international or national visitors who are on a tour, visiting for instance Vegas or the Death Valley, often make a stop in the area. They either want to discover the Joshua Tree Park, or don’t want to miss the “High Desert Boho” trend they’ve heard about.
